Hi there- I have finally started to see the results. It just started this weekend, so it took a good 3+ weeks. It will get better. I am seeing the doctor on Wed and will post his thoughts. Tell her to hang in there, it takes time especially if the doctor was as aggressive as mine was. He did tell me to take 3 ibuprofen 3 times a day for two days and to drink excessive amounts of water! That has worked or maybe my healing time was coincendental- regardless, I say hang in there- the results will come. Mine are slowly but they are starting to show. Once I talk to him I will post pics because now I feel like I can see some progress.
Thank you Sharon- I appreciate the kind words. I am starting to get some feeling back in my upper abs, little twinges of feeling. I just have to keep telling myself it is going to take some time. They did say that in the event I am not happy that they would definitely work with me until I am, customer satisfation is the important thing. I just started my walking and could not go very far without being uncomfortable. I will try a walking DVD I have this afternoon and see if that is better. I will keep you posted. Thanks again!
5 days post op- well let's see..first day back to work yesterday was ehhhh, not too bad. Just uncomfortable. I felt really swollen yesterday and I think it was because I didn't drink enough water. Today, I am a camel!! haha. Body image- still on the fence. Do see some change, but not what I wanted to see..again only 5 days in. Patience Terri, patience. I have my 1 week f/u appt on Thursday. My nerves are waking up and itching like crazy...benedryl to the rescue. All in all, things went well and are continuing to do so. Now it is all about the healing. I will post pics when I can. take care- Terri
