Hi Grace, so sorry you are going through this. Yes, many people here have experienced the same or similar symptoms as you describe after botox injections. For the spasms, look for posts by Chicagofit -- she has been dealing with this for a long time and her posts may help with advice. Send her a private message and she may respond. Also check http://botoxsupport community.com for additional posts and support. If you need to talk with someone, send me a private message and I'll provide my personal email. I don't have as much info as some but I can share what I've learned from others and refer you to others here. You'll want to be cautious about the meds you take to treat the symptoms you're experiencing -- here's a link to a botox drug interaction list: http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/abobotulinumtoxina.html Avoid all meds that have decongestants, sleep aids, caffeine -- see the list... Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jeanette

Connie, there is a Botox drug interaction list. I'll find it for you but send me your email address so I can send directly to you. You can email me at *********@yahoo.com. I had 104 units of Botox on 9/10 and developed flu symptoms 3 days later. I went on an antibiotic immediately which cleared it up within 5 days but it came back a week later. I was down for about a week with the second bout but it did eventually clear up after a couple of weeks. I still have quite a few other symptoms (muscle aches in mech, shoulders and upper back, fatigue, no sense if smell, occasional nose bleeds, nerve pain that comes and goes, swollen tongue and mouth) but the flu symptoms have not returned since late September. Hopefully your symptoms will be short lived. I am fortunate that my symptoms have been manageable as long as I take good care of myself (9 hours sleep, no stress, no chocolate, no alcohol, fresh foods, fruits and vegetables, lots of water). Watch the drug interaction list. Anything with a sleep aid or sinus meds is a problem. The list is very long. Take plain aspirin only for pain. No Tylenol or ibuprofen. Use my email anytime if you need support or more info. Lits if good people here to help too . Jeanette.

Kava kava and Bach rescue remedy are both herbal remedies for anxiety. You can get them both at Whole Foods or your local health food store. I've used Bach before for anxiety before flying but haven't tried kava kava. If you buy the Bach, it comes in liquid form. Just don't get the flavored kind-- it has additives -- doing my best to stay away from all unnecessary additives. I don't have the severe anxiety that many here do. Just wondered if anyone here had tried either. If anyone does, please let us know if it's helped.

Just a caution about massages. Although it makes perfect sense that when your muscles ache you would want a massage, others here have said after a massage, their symptoms have gotten worse and it seems to cause the toxin to spread to other parts of the body. I've avoided the temptation to have one because of this..,
