I'm sorry you have been so sick, but always glad to hear that others have had or been going through similiar situations. I will be 5 months post-op in two weeks. I think I was sick from the middle of January up until about 2-3 weeks ago. I have never been sick like this. I took several antibiotics and they seemed to work until I stopped them. I also started exercising (running) for the first time since surgery as soon as I wasn't feeling sick about 2 weeks ago. I have only been running 3 days a week and it seems like I am swelling more and more than I have throughout this whole recovery. Also, my stomach tingles and feels stranger than it did before. I can only assume that exercise causes some extreme aggrevation to the muscles. Just glad to hear I'm not alone!

I have notices that my binder helps so much in feeling less sore but I can't wear it to work all day or pretty much any type of compression. My ps said sometimes itching can mean a thick scar is forming. I hope not. I have been using silicone strips and leave them on everyday except to shower. I am wondering if they are aggrevating my skin since I have extremely sensitive skin. I'm going to give them a rest this weekend and may try some other mentioned options. I do worry its not moist enough. Thanks for the replys. Any offered advice is helpful.

I haven't been on here for a bit but have been reading everyone's comments. I'm so glad that you are all still sharing your experience. I just wish I had more energy or time to do it myself. Anyway, I'm 11 weeks out on Thursday (11/8) From a full tt, mr, and hernia repair. I didn't understand until this week what 'swell hell' was. I was a stay at home mom for 6 years and got my surgery before going back int the workforce. I started working a full time desk job the first of the month and have been more swollen and sore than ever since I've been sitting all day which I'm not used to. I was given the ok to begin slow exercise at 4 weeks and held off until this Sunday. OMG...I used the eliptical very slowly and now am extremely swollen and it kind of aches now. My stomach was pretty flat and looked awesome. Although I'm still very happy I did it I'm completly bummed out that sitting on my butt all day and then also barely exercising is causing me so much swelling. It's annoying. I really need to get exercise because sit helps my monthly hormones and ibs so much. I am not really trying to complain on here but just share what I'm dealing wih at 11 weeks and my situation. I just can't wait until its completely healed. My scar is really starting to itch as well. Anyone else have that problem? If so what do you do for itching?

When was your surgery? I had full TT and hernia and muscle repair 11/8 and there's no way I would go to the gym or take on any exercise right now. I think if there was no MR the recovery might be sooner. I am 5 weeks po and just normal chores can make me feel horrible when I over do it. I hope your day is better today and your hold feels better soon.
