I had my tape removed last Thursday. I was scared, but actually it didn't hurt. He just peeled it right off. There were two spots right under my breasts that had a big scab and he cut those off (I know that sounds gross) and they bled a little but he put a bandaid on them. Then he gave me some scar medicine and told me to put it on once a day and massage my scars. However my incision areas are more sensitive now that they aren't covered. So far so good!

My ps let me shower. I Used Dial soap and didn't let the water hit my incisions directly.

Don't overload on the laxatives. I did and I spent most of the day in the bathroom! Just make sure you are drinking enough water.

I only had one drain in. The ps clipped a stitch and counted to 3 and yanked!! It was over in 2 seconds but I did scream and say a few bad words. The only place were it hurt was the hole from the drain. It felt as if someone out a red hot poker right there. However by the time I left the ps office it just stung a little. I was soooooo happy to get that drain out. I felt so much better!

Yes, I did. I had to go back to the hospital and have a catheter put in two days after I got home from the hospital. I could only squeeze out a few drops every time I went to the bathroom. I have never ever wanted a catheter in so badly! :-) The doctor said it could of been caused by irritation from the catheter I had at the hospital after surgery, the anesthesia, or the pain meds. I came home with a catheter and two days later I had it removed and all was fine. The doctor said it quite common after surgery.
