Wow, you have really been through it! It sounds like you should be doing a lot of resting to avoid setbacks. Keep in mind that the drain helps reduce swelling (have to find something positive about the drains:) and swelling is much worse than drains. I hope your BP is good and your feeling better.
No hospital bed. After week one, able to walk 5 houses down the street and up and down staircase 10-12 times/ day. You can do it! Fight hard to get moving daily. Week 3, walking 1.5 miles /day. Week 4, walking 3 miles/ day (not all at once!). Just walk very slow. I tried using a cane but my nurse (sister) said no that I had to walk on my own... Even if it was just 10 steps! You will stay bent over for 2 weeks but I promise it gets better. Even just a few days makes a difference in how you feel.
Are you able to walk daily? My PS told me it improves the circulation and to walk daily. It may help the swelling your experiencing. I'm 28 days post op too.
I am excited for you. Good luck! Like you, I have 4 children (4 c-sections) and plenty, plenty of excercise but no flat belly.....until NOW! My TT was 23 days ago and I love it! I just did my profile tonight so the pics should show up tomorrow.
As for recovery, I exercised and prepared for the surgery. Best advice.... follow your doctor's recommendations and rest, rest, rest the first 2-3 weeks. Let everything around your house wait because it will all still be there when you feel better! Drink plenty of water and take your stool softeners...lol. This becomes important.
