Honestly. I continually see blog after blog from adults who state they were clearly not given a heads-up on what to expect. This should be unacceptable to the orthodontic industry, and they should be putting in the extra effort to inform and train their fellow colleagues on how to work with adults and the necessity to explain everything to them clearly, including the potential for root rot, etc. (just signing a slip of paper is not enough!). My feeling: They think they can use the same bedside techniques on a 12 year old as they do a 44 year old. How ridiculous.
