Hi there! Congrats on making the decision to go forward with surgery :) You asked me about how my doctor determined how many cc's to use in each breast to try and achieve symmetry- here is my experience. When I met my doctor for the consultation, he examined me and took detailed measurements of each breast. We talked about all of my asymmetries(unfortunately I have a few) and my goals. My left breast had more volume(seemed larger), my left nipple was lower, and my left inframammary fold was lower. He told me that he could use different size implants to try and correct the volume difference but could not correct my nipple and fold being lower. My main goal was to achieve more volume and I was ok with my nipple and fold being lower. I was happy he was honest about what he could and could not do for me, and what results I could expect. I tried on the 400cc implant in a sports bra, liked the way they looked on my frame. He said 400cc was not too large and would fit in my breast pockets. During surgery he used multiple test sizers in the left breast to find the best match with the 400cc implant in the right breast. I ended up with 350 in the left and I am happy with the combination he selected. The right breast does feel a little different (not in a bad way) than the left breast because it has a bigger implant. Hope that info helps. It's great that you have some time before your surgery to research everything.
Thanks nwmommy. You look great! I am going to look for that Bali bra you recommended. It is nice to go shopping and actually find bras that fit. I only wore sports bras before surgery because my breasts were different sizes.
