Hi Fishmonger! First fraxel treatment was yesterday and it went very well! Face just looks a tiny bit red and swollen. I have a pretty high threshold for pain and he was able to do 3 full rounds - actually I can't remember the term, but you know what I mean! I had the numbing gel on for over an hour which really helped! I know not to get too excited about results since I have to be patient to wait for collagen production etc. I do feel quite optimistic! I'd post pictures but I was shocked to see how much worse I look before make up in my bathroom's terrible lighting - lol! Maybe tomorrow. Thanks again for your thorough treatment notes!
I also live in the bay area and am scheduled for my first fraxel treatment in two weeks. I am greatly reassured by your story and pictures. Several other stories had me worried - I was told there would be swelling and redness, but there are other pictures on this website where the swelling is scary! One individual from the UK noted scarring after her third treatment. I'm 50, with similar problems, and want to know when you were able to go outside, looking relatively "normal"? At any point was the swelling or redness alarming? How is it some people get scarring? I thought fraxel provided the safe option to the traditional laser which left skin very red for a very long time. I am starting to stress-out and need to know what to look for at the clinic to make sure my outcome is similar to your's. Thanks!!
