I just had to comment here. I am going through a similar experience as yourself,at 22 years of age i made the big decision to get braces because i hated my slanted teeth and my poorly positioned midline. When i went for my consultation i was asked what i disliked about my teeth and i explained to my lovely dentist that due to a missing tooth on my right side my midline was nearly a whole tooth off to the right( lets just say i had a very bad dentist as a child who obviously didnt care very much about the consequences of his actions as he took out my right fang tooth (sorry dont know proper name)) i was put into braces and two weeks later i got a tooth out on my left side(not my fang tooth but the one behind it) and four months later my teeth and shifting into that space. I have been told that midline will be corrected.
