I waited six months and went back to him, and just as I had suspected - he absolutely refused to do any revisions. My left earlobe is nice and tight and round but the right one still looks different. He gave me a million reasons why I should be happy with the results. My earlobes were perfectly fine before this procedure and what bothers me is that it is not the scarring that has produced asymetrical results - they looked asymetrical immediately following the procedure. I think that he rushed it, because looking over the surgical notes I noticed that he closed up my ears, performed a brow lift and a lower face lift within a time span of 2.5 hours ~ that seems very fast. He was already paid a great deal of money and I am not ready to accept defeat, any suggestions on resolving this would be very appreciated.
thank you for that answer. The photos don't show it but they look much more asymetrical. This was not due to the healing, ~ it was immediately apparent after the procedure, so it's the way my earlobes were sewn up. The left one is visibly longer and more stretched out, the right one looks as if a small bite was taken out. They may not have been perfectly symmetrical before, but they matched and now they are awful. He avoids answering me as to whether at some point he can repair this. Can it be repaired?
P.S. My earlobes were rounded and looked even prior to the surgery. He also closed each set of holes separately ~ first time two months ago, second time a month ago. He also charged me separately. Why was it necessary to do two procedures?
thank you for all the responses. The stitches are out, swelling is gone, and asymetry remains. The surgeon did not even looke at my earlobes at consultation, much less said anything about potential problems. I approached him with my concern, but he refuses to give a straight response. Do I need additional surgery to correct this, or is the scarring going to cause problems?
I started to notice the same thing around my eyes about a week or two following my sixth photofacial (I had a series of six weekly treatments). A couple of months prior to these, I had two fraxel treatments that seemed to do absolutely nothing. I wish someone could tell me if the volume loss in my face and eyelid/temple hollowness was caused by one or the other or if the photofacials just aggravated the effects of the fraxel?
