I had an adult orbital translocation to correct this. Even 7 years later it is not without its problems, I have lagging where the eyelid has not risen sufficiently to meet the eyes new position and I have an upper lid deformity (fullness) where is covers an eye which was not meant to be in that place. I also have some weakness/sloping as a result of this (looks like a lazy eye)
I also had some muscle alignment and surgery to remove pins. I also have a big scar across my head covered by hair. Not an altogether easy route but really the only one possible
