If you truly want to hear all sides.... then my comments are in the mix... just as I listened for many, many months... so I said what I thought.... no need to like it.... a thrash back is just a way of not hearing.... I hope you continue to do well....
Fixmyface - glad to hear you are feeling up about your surgery.... and just to say to you and others.... I felt all the things you are feeling... without any ego about it - I am and have enjoyed the feeling of being a beautiful woman my whole life - which is fortunate and also just one part of me.... but an important one so I get what you are saying.... though want to add - what many are sharing on this site - the ones who have had good results - like me - is a frustration exists regarding how long it takes to REALLY feel back to normal - and are looking to others to get a bead on just how long the process is - because I had a great team too... and they tell me I am on a very typical tract regarding healing.... BUT I wasn't made aware at the onset that a typical tract was a year.... so this is what many of us are looking to get information about.... and what has happened is that conversation has been pulled to hard and extreme situations that aren't really at all connected to the question of this threaded discussion... "How long before facelift/necklift recovery".... which for me at least has been a little frustrating too... because I want help in understanding the process of healing from a mini-neck lift and the like..... and though I have complete compassion for all the other difficult circumstances of people's lives - this a public forum - asking a question.... and not really the place to air all the other personal tragic things that happen to people - not connected to facelifts- or to judge anyone who decides to have this surgery - ....So I would appreciate more feedback about this.... any others have information to share about the question posed??? I'm over 6 months post op and still have healing to do - it is all much better than it had been - but I would like to know - how long does it take to feel completely healed... Anyone have input to this - please respond... and happy new year to all....
Let me just clarify the sagging is very mild... and maybe just because I am healing and no so swollen any more.... a mini-face lift is not so mini.... but they don't cut up into your scalp... so they don't pull up by the eyes - which I didn't need - just the chinline.... which is what the mini focuses on.... if you google it the procedure will be fully explained....
Good luck with your procedure.... Zekeaboyz
Thanks for all your posts SallieSu2 to all of us personally - very kind.... Yes it is hard to go down this road of aging - I had a long conversation about this with one of closest friends for overy 25 years recently.... she's beautiful... 5 years older than me - and though wrinkled - hasn't lost her chinline... there is just something about loosing this that just is a such a big bummer - because it's different aging - you look like someone else - not "you" older... and I had/have always been a head turner too... so not even looking like myself was very hard to take... and when I talked about this with my friend - well - having been attractive all the way through - in a way makes it harder... your story and my story are so similar.... I didn't hate my face either... and it no doubt - even with a little more relaxing than I would like to see - looks much better - but trading the looks for the comfort for me isn't a fair trade - and like you - I had a mini-facelift... and the secret weapon of a hyperbaric chamber that - from what I read before - would make the whole thing different... and maybe it did - my surgon sure did think so - but the bottom line and point is thie - the PS.s are not honest about the recovery.... yes I hear from the others lots is done to our faces... but I had brutal ALC knee reconstruction back when they casted patients for a month and then after I had to break through the scar tissue myself lying on my belly pulling on my leg that was lassoed to a tie while the tears streamed down my face.... so I don't feel I was unprepared for pain.... but that was done in 4 months... a whole year until it was perfect... but this is just different - it's our faces.... so it's literally in our faces... and I want to feel normal again.... I don't look at myself that much anyway.... so I hope it is at least somewhat soon... and yes I do have periods where it is better - followed by times when it isn't - but I think the trajectory is up... with dips in between...
So yeah - can't change it - but hearing from others somehow helps - so thanks for this forum... and good luck to all... Zekeaboyz
