I just got back from my PS and he said the edges of my wound are starting to come grow toward the middle. He stressed to keep it moist if I didn't want scarring or a revision, so I guess I will press on with the same thing I have been doing and pray it will heal soon. He also put me on 1000mg of Time Released Vitamin C to increase healing time. I asked about Duoderm and he said don't waste the money, that I am on the other side of the mountain and it shouldn'd be long. Thanks so much for the response! :)
Thanks for the advice. I am so sorry that you were left with such bad scarring! I hope you will be done soon, as well. I completely understand, when I first looked at mine I was mortified, but now my scarring seems to be going down nicely - now if I can just get that open wound healed...
Take care and remember your husband doesn't (or shouldn't) love you for your tatas! They are just a part of you! :) Keep your chin up!
Thanks for the kind words ! I will try to be patient, but looking at it growing is not helping. :( Did you wear your bra all the time, or just during the day?
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am glad to hear that you are doing well and all healed! Where did you get the saline from? I have looked at the drug store, but there is none on the shelf. :)
I had my full lift on July 17th and I am now experiencing the open wound at the T-junction. So, from what I have been reading, dry is better than wet? My wound seems to be getting larger each day, but I have been doing the wet method with Aquaphor and guaze within my bra. My PS says this is normal, however, if so many women have this, you think they would change to non-dissolvable stitches in that area, or reinforce with bonding or steri strips. Anyway, the pad advice sounds like a good solution to healing, but what did you use to hold it in place? Also, once you started the pad method, how long did it take to completely heal? I am feeling like so many of you, that I wish I had my old boobs back and none of this to handle. I am sure that months down the road I will be happy with the results, but for now, I just want to be healed, and don't really care about the scarring. I send good vibes out to all you who are suffering from this now, and wish you quick healing!
