@ 4ever Young - Can you please send me the link to the information about the FDA approval in Canada and how you found out it was not approved in the US. Thanks!!! And thanks for the update.

@ anon - In spite of all the doctors and spa owners claiming there are NO side effects and claiming how safe it is, I am a patient who has actually done the Exilis procedure and I am having MANY side effects! By the evening of my first appointment, I was in severe pain. I had as much pain as I did after having surgery. My lower abdomen was so swollen, I looked as if I was six months pregnant. A few days later, I found a knot in my lower abdomen. It is currently 21 days after my treatment and my stomach is still swollen and I still look pregnant. The knot has increased in size. To my knowledge, Exilis is FDA approved for WRINKLES, but not for fat removal. It was only approved for wrinkles in late 2009. There is not enough research to truly KNOW all the side effects, in my opinion. I believe there will eventually be a lot of people who will come forward with many different side effects. Most spas and doctors who are making a large amount of MONEY with the Exilis will NOT advertise anything but GOOD results. They have a very biased opinion. I personally, would NEVER recommend Exilis. My health means way more to me than that!

@ 4ever Young - Don't come down on yourself for not asking for a "full list of risks", as I was blind sided and NOT given the list anyway. All the offices that provide the Exilis treatment don't want to talk about "Risks" because they #1 WANT you to do the treatment and #2 KNOW that there is not enough research done to really know ALL the risks because it hasn't been on the market long. PLEASE be careful!! I don't understand the "knot" either. I am worried and scared. I had my gynecologist check it out and he couldn't really tell me what it was, although he felt it himself. He just doesn't know anything about Exilis so he had no answers. I am just PRAYING it will go away, along with the swelling and the pain, which I've currently had for 21 days.

When you say I am right that it is only approved for wrinkles. Did you find something online about that? Can you tell me where to look or send me the link or how you know that?

    Thank you!

    BEST OF LUCK to you!!
