Did you have your treatment carried out professionally or do it yourself at home? The are special techniques for scar treatment, as well as scar serums which also help. If you carried out the treatment at home I think you may be better off going to a professional.
Why pay a Dr? This is a silly question! Do you know and understand all of the contraindications of skin needling? You may be advocating its use to people with diabetes, who have compromised vascular systems, have suffered from skin cancer, have recently had laser / Botox, are using blood thinning drugs, suffer from keloid scars.......... The list goes on! Do you know the max amount of Lidocane that should be used on the skin, or what to do if somebody suffers from respiratory depression when the cream is applied? Also, how do you know what your roller from the Internet is made of? Is it CE stamped? Using dodgy rollers can cause scarring!
Also, have you been trained in the correct way to use a roller over box scars as opposed to pox or ice pick scarring? Do you know the clinical end points to look for when needling? No, thought not!
Don't think you're trained to use a dermaroller because you've read the leaflet and watched a video on YouTube.
I have seen so many bad technique videos posted online it's frightening. You only get one face, spend the money and get your needling done properly!
