Many thanks for the advice! I am considering doing the surgery locally even though it will cost more. I think having a local surgeon might be the best solution overall. Although I will spend more money I will at least have my doctor near by in case of complications & won't have to worry about a long flight and recovery alone. Thanks again!

Just wondering if you ended up going out of state as I am considering the same thing..5hr flight for me. If you went through with it..any suggestions? I was going to stay at a recovery center for a few days then get a hotel. I'll be traveling alone. How was recovery?
