Hello, I know you don't want to hear this right now but you really do look great just as you are! At 24, you have the biggest weapon any woman can have at her disposal - youth. The risks associated with these procedures are worth it when you are in your late 30s or 40s, have had kids and generally gravity and pregnancy has taken a toll on your body. At your age, these procedures are unnecessary and fraught with risks. I am 35 years old and have one child (age 8 yrs). I was moderately overweight and had a very obvious muffin top tummy. So I went in for a lipo (abdomen, flanks and back). It's been a year since the op, and although the fat is gone, the results are not worth the money and pain. The skin and tissues underneath where lipo is done, continue to hurt for 6-8 weeks after the op. I didn't feel like exercising for the longest time because of the discomfort and pain and in hindsight, if I had just exercised for the months that I had to be idle, i probably would have achieved the same results. Also the incision marks don't go away easily and sometimes there is rippling on the skin like i have on my tummy. The surface is uneven and has little bulges and dents which haven't gone even after one year. I also still have the hard scar tissue which i can feel when i touch my tummy (although it has softened over the months). I am so unhappy with the results that I am considering a tummy tuck as nothing can be done to smoothen out the bumps and dents. I cry when i look at my pre lipo tummy pics.. atleast they were smooth and even. Also fat transfer is vastly overrated. The docs who recommend it are just thinking about making money. My doc was kind enough to tell me that the success rate is abysimal for fat graft and 50 to 60% of the fat doesn't stay in the place it was grafted 1 year after the op. It is such a sheer waste of money and the pain one has to endure is so unnecessary. There is also the risk of calcification or fat necrosis, wherein the fat cells harden and get infected or die. Such complications need repeat surgery. I had gone into the op hating my body and wanting to make it perfect. One year later, I still hate my body and realize that it was much more beautiful before I went under the knife. So I would really really request you to please re-consider your decision. These procedures are good in middle age, after having had children and when the body is kind of damaged anyway. To mess with a body that is already young and beautiful to begin with is totally unnecessary and kind of tragic because it just shows how much of an effect the airbrushed mainstream media has on us.

Hi 2orchid2, I have a question for you. Since you had sub muscular placement, and the results seem v nice - After four months, do you still feel any pain or discomfort b'coz of d implants? Are u able to exercise or run? Also when u lie down, does the breast look natural. Meaning, the natural breast tissue will generally move to d side whereas the implant will stay in position. So does d breast and d implant move in tangent so that it looks natural. Last question, does it feel soft to touch like a real breast or is there a discernible diff in d density of d implant vs breast. Thanks in adv. Would really appreciate if u can take out d time to answer.

I am so sorry that anybody had to go through this and that too in Canada. I live in India and I thought so gross negligence only happens in third world countries. Can't you sue the doctor? The stitches are so untidily done as if done by a complete amateur. The scars are not even in a straight line which shows how little care the doctor took while doing the op. Please sue him, or mention his name in as many websites as possible so that others are warned and do not have to go through the same nightmarish experience that you had to go through. God bless and hope your revision surgery is successful.
  • Posted to Can You Do an Extended Tummy Tuck with a Butt Lift to Remove Stretch Marks on Sides? on 16 Aug 2012

I see you had asked this question 2 yrs back. So what did you opt for and how has the result been after 2 years? Are you happy with your decision? Any learnings you would like to share. A recent pic would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I would just like to mention that in the pic you look pretty slim and apart from the stretchmarks, you have a great body. Not sure if tummy tuck was required. If I had your body, I would just try to do something about the stretchmarks with lasers, etc.
  • Posted to How Can I Correct Natural Uniboobs with a Fatty Layer Above the Breastbone? Never Had Breast Augmentation. (photo) on 15 Aug 2012

Thanks for replying!! Dr. Samir, actually I made a mistake in the 3rd pic (extreme right) description. It is a pic of me lying down and not front view standing up as in the 1st pic (extreme left). I can generally see a faint line while lying down like that. The question I have is, 1) Will liposuction correct the problem? 2) Will the skin reattach to the sternum or will it just hang around loose (with space between the skin and the sternum)? 3) Will fat cells from the surrounding area migrate to the empty space created by liposuction? (In which case it will defeat the whole purpose of having a lipo) 4) Which type of liposuction would be better? Tumescent, Vaser, Laser, etc. 5) I would need to have a very precise removal of fat in a very straight line (less than 1 cm) from a small area. Is this possible? Thank you in advance. In the meantime, I will read up on breast lift. I never thought i needed them. Actually the boobs are not as big as they look (maybe becoz the pics are close-up). I am 36C. and in a bra, the breasts actually look quite high up, which i found embarrassing earlier but have now come to accept.
