In Pennsylvania, a woman caught an infection from one of the medical staff and died! My boyfriend and I had the smartlipo performed a day later and since have been contacted by the health officials. Our procedures were performed in August and we are still swollen, lumpy, and fatty looking.
I am living a nightmare! I had smart lipo performed on August 2nd and initially I was very impressed with the results. My stomach which had been huge previously was as flat as a board! That was then and this is now. Three days later, my stomach looked like a round watermelon and was hot, obviously swollen, and was so painful that it hurts removing and replacing the black compression garment. I've been on prednisone for five days and still no reduction in pain or swelling. I went back to the doctor a few days ago only to be chided and charmed out of complaining too much. I'm frightened and don't know what to do.
