Hi ladies. Things seem to be settling in but I have one really frustrating thing that happens. If I bend down to pick up a toy, or if I bring my knee up to step into my spanx I have a sharp burning pain inside, right above my incision near my right hip bone. It's not superficial....it is inside the skin. It happens all day long. I have to grab the spot, it really is uncomfortable. Anyone else have a burning sensation? Could it be a pinched nerve?
Rlrichardson, same thing here. 5 + weeks, still swollen. Can't wear my pre TT pants, but found a few short skirts.... Just have to make sure the legs of my spanx aren't sticking out. Hehehe. I keep telling myself that even tho I am 10 pounds lighter it will take 6 months to see the final outcome. Grrr.
Snider, it is amazing how many different paths our doctors have to getting us all to the same outcome. I had to give myself Fragmin injections after surgery to prevent clogging, I was also given a pack of large strength arnica to take right before and for a few days after surgery. I totally believe in that arnica. I only had a tiny amount of bruising just immediately around my incision. I also rubbed the gel on my abdomen when it was really sore and swollen. That being said, I still can't wear my pre TT pants. :/ I am also super sore in the evening and I'm just over 5 weeks. I swear my pubic area and incision get so swollen it looks disgustingly unnatural. I have to plop down in that recliner and try and get the swelling to migrate away. Ugh. 1month down, 5 to go.
