Hi Tammy V - I had a similar experience with a curved line of redness under each eye after Radiesses. It did not happen until a few weeks after the original injection. Was yours an immediate reaction? Has it improved? I was told time woud fade it, but slowly.
When I first had the Radiesse injected, I had only minor bruising and swelling. I actually went out shopping the next day. Two weeks later I went for a follow up and there was a very small swelling at the top of my left cheekbone. The doctor (board certified, top rated doc) injected it with a tiny bit of belotero and did the same with the other eye, to make sure contours were even. I developed a black eye, but it quickly healed and I went on vacation to California, looking great. However, in California, I noticed two very faint lines on the top of both cheekbones (site of radiesse and belatero injections). But they were easily concealed. Ten days later, I woke up with red raccoon like lines at the top of both cheekbones. I did go to the original doctor who said it could be the "radiesse building up walls". But the contours were great, no lumps or bumps. The doctor also said it was not an allergic reaction to the belotero. I saw the doc again in another two weeks and the racoon like lines were not larger, but a little redder. Now it is hard to conceal them even with thick concealer. The doc says it is hyperpigmentation. My long time dermatologist said that whatever caused it, it looks like mild to moderate hyperpigmentation. I am a busy career woman who is very frustrated right now. I have never had skin problems before and it is very depressing to look in the mirror. Given these facts, what do you recommend?? I want it gone, but do not want to do anything that will make it worse.
