I can feel the ring on my other breast and before a few weeks ago, I could feel the ring on both breasts. I wonder why then, when I brought up to my plastic surgeon he acted like he didn't know what "ring" around my nipple I was talking about. He even "felt" around the displaced nipple for the so called "edge" I was trying to explain to him was gone! Hmmmm..... Why would he act like he didn't know what I was talking about??
My surgeon has asked me to be patient ( I saw him last at my 3 weeks post op, now I'm at 6 weeks). He told me that I will see some results at 6 weeks, the problem is that it has gotten worst, not better. I am using my compression garment day and night. I am taking lasix, I do warm compresses, and I am even thinking of going for some manual lymphatic massage. I am very depress about my results! . My PS is board certified and he practices here in Texas. I did have drains for 5 days. I do believe I have a seroma, at least in the lower part of my tummy. The top now is way more lax and I can even pinch it with easily two inches of excess skin. I am trying really hard to be patient. This has been a long and brutal recovery! ;-)
Sorry for your issues. What has your surgeon told you??? Where you done out of USA? Was the surgeon a boarded PS? Did you have drains? Did you have a seroma? From the posted photos you either had a poor operative techniques with NO muscle repair, or a large thick seroma, or both. Seek in person second opinions. I am 5 weeks post op and this is ME!!!! My lower stomach looks EXACTLY like this! I am afraid it is a serom but my ps refuses to drain it and keeps putting me on tighter and tighter girdles. The girdles work but, not enough. Not to get me completely flat not even first thing in the morning. I am afraid that the seroma will not be address and I will end up having to have a revision which will cost more money!!! I can think of better things I'd like to do than pay for a revision! How can I talk to my doctor and get him to listen. It has been 5 weeks, I am tired, I am still sore, I am still in pain! and it is so depressing not to have the outcomes I expected after so much money, time, effort, pain & suffering!
The best way to describe my stomach right now is that of comparing it to a watermelon. When you are finding that watermelon that it's just right, you tap it and you hear it be hollow and you might even feel that it is nice and juicy. Well, that's EXACTLY how my tummy feels. I can tap on it and it's hard and sounds hollow and full of fluid! It gets worst as the day goes by. By the time evening get here, my skin is so tight!!!! it hurts! and my tummy so big, it's unbelievable!
