Burning is a typical problem of IPL. Light technology uses the pricinple of selective photmothermololysis. The heat is needed to cause a thermal insult to the cells where the body attempts to heal that injured part. Too much heat and the result is a burning sensation. You could explore different alternative technologies such as LHE (light heat energy).
