11 days post-op

You're going to be so thrilled with your results. I'm 11 days post-op and just had my second follow-up with Dr. G. today. I'm thrilled with the results so far and it's only going to get better... good luck :)

Good luck tomorrow!! My surgery is tomorrow as well so it's comforting to know we'll be recovering "together". I'll be up bright and early tomorrow for the long drive too....Bed time!

Glad everything went well yesterday... you look great 1-day post-op! I don't feel very nervous either (my surgery is first thing tomorrow).

So you got to speak with Dr. Golden before you were put under? I want to confirm everything he'll be doing before he starts, too.

I'm going to agree 100% with your second paragraph, NY2838. That's why I resorted to emailing a dozen times. That way, you get an answer, in writing, and the doc/staff couldn't interrupt while you were asking your questions. The front desk woman also mentioned that she prints off these emails and puts them in your folder, so Dr. Golden can see all of your concerns in writing on the day of surgery. He also seemed more focused when I had him on the phone (after I had e-mailed him a more complicated question about bridge work).

Communication is key, but in this case, I'd rather choose a surgeon who has 30 years of experience and specializes in noses (not even just faces) with a quirky personality than a surgeon who is personable but less experienced. Make sense? Maybe I'm comforting myself by my comments lol. Good luck!
