  • Posted to 6 Weeks Post Op Appt Today New pics! on 2 Oct 2012

Thanks for asking! I just started walking this weekend. I am walking for 20 minutes in the morning with my 10 month old son and then go to the gym later in the day and do the elliptical for 20-30 minutes. For now that's all I can handle. I am hoping to increase that to an hour soon but I am pretty tired and sore by the time I'm done!

Question Ms. Trainer by trade :) So what did you do at the gym today? I just had my 6 week post op appt today and I got the green light to start working out again (thank God cuz I've been dying without my daily workouts!) but I am not sure what to do. I am still sore in my abdomen by the evening so I am worried about doing too much. My PS said to start with 15 min a day but that's nothing ... I will have to do four a days if I am doing 15 minutes at a time! haha

I was 6 weeks post op yesterday and had my 6 week post op appt today. To answer your question about a bra fitting, I did that around 4 weeks. I went to Victoria's Secret and was told I'm a 32DDD/34D - although my PS said Victoria's Secret exaggerates sizes so I am probably a C in other brands.

I am also numb in my abdomen (such a strange sensation when my 10 month old leans against it!) and I know what you mean about the nerves regenerating and that "lighting" type pain. Ouch ouch! I am sore by the end of the day, mostly in my abdomen on the left side. It really feels like a pulled muscle. You mentioned you had a massage. Did you lay on your stomach? I am scared to lay on my stomach just yet. How was that?
  • Posted to 8 months post op and had scar revision today on 27 Sep 2012

I think I have something similar on my breast. I had my 6 week post op appt today and I have a small open sore on the stitch on my left breast (I have a lollipop scar and it is on the under side). My doc picked at it - ewww! and then put Aquaphor on it. He told me to wash the area with soap and water 2x a day and put Aquaphor on it afterwards and it should heal itself. Right now it is a small divet (about half of a pea size) but my PS thinks it will heal up just fine. HTH

Risk of what exactly? I don't understand.
