Thanks for your reply Dr.Weber. I have also recently had a tingling sensation around my mouth- so I assume that my nerves are not as they should be. I wonder is it possible that either the trauma or the root canal itself could have injured a nerve and hence reduced bloody supply to my lips, resulting in loss of volume and defintion?
If yes, would do nerves repair themselves…
The other thing I am perplexed with is that when I search online- there does not seem to be any matches for “facial trauma/ dental lip definition volume loss”. Yet I am overwhelmed by the number of results on swelling… I did initially have some swelling on the right upper lip which is where the root canal was performed.
But what usually happens after the swelling- should it return to it’s previous state?
Once again, I appreciate your time in responding. I am really struggling to find answers, albeit your comment suggesting it will likely heal has given me some comfort.
