Short term I'm not sure if I can help you because my side effects lasted over 4 months but long term I hope I can give you peace of mind since it does eventually go away little by little day by day! So hang in there since I do know from reading post on here that everyone has symptoms for different lengths of time and you may be one of the lucky ones who has symptoms for only a few days. I will say the only time I did feel any relief during my 4 months was when I took muscle relaxers the Doctor gave me. Problem was I couldn't take them and attend to my kids because of how tired they made me so It was rare that I was able to take the meds? Good luck :)

It has been over 2 months now since I had the injections and I still an having issues! The neck pain/ weakness has improved slightly and seems to be getting better with each passing day I will also add though that I have been doing daily neck exercises to help gain strength back in my neck muscles so I'm not 100% sure how much is the injections wearing off and how much of it is the exercise helping? As for the mephesto sign that has also shown mild improvement, not as much as I would like but I will take anything at this point. I have had migraines every single day since the botox and that has not began to subside! My neurologist assures me that the botox should wear off around 3 months and when it does so will all my these side effects so if that is true I should have one more month to go I hope! To answer your question about the neck pain, it began for me about a week or so after I received the botox injections. I was given the option of having more botox injected to try and balance out the mephesto sign but since one of the possible complications of that was having my eye droop I declined that option. Hopefully this helps you and that you were lucky enough to have not shown any symptoms of neck issues!

Well it has been almost a month since I had the injections and sadly I still have neck weakness/soreness! The one thing I can say is with each passing day it becomes a tiny bit less. The Botox has given me no relief from my migraine and I feel it has actually made them worse! Thankfully I'm not as scared and desperate as I was a month ago, and I'm learning to live around the pain until it is no longer with me. The mephesto sign issues have also shown signs of improvement and I actually have periods of the day where the cramping isn't torture. I'm not positive though if the relief I'm feeling is due to the injections wearing off or its just my bodies natural ability to adjust to the pain? I hope everyone on here can also find some relief even if its only minimal.......

I had botox injections two weeks ago yesterday and it has been horrible! I wound up with the mephesto sign ( my right eye brow constantly raised which causes muscle strain and cramping due to the muscle above my eye never having a chance to relax), I've also developed horrible neck stiffness and the feeling of extreme swelling in my neck! My neurologist gave me muscle relaxers which seem to be the only way I get a small amount of relief but they make me really tired so I can only use them sparingly since I have 2 kids to care for daily! These injections were suppose to be my blessing and have been nothing but a nightmare, my head also feels like a bowling ball and I get cramping in my neck if I spend more than 15 seconds looking up, down or side to side! These shots have actually made my migraines worse. I feel like crying when I read these post because I'm not sure if I can do this for another month or two! I don't know what to do now and I'm definitely feeling defeated by my migraines and now by the botox injections too, I honestly wish I had never tried this treatment. Has anyone received any responses from their Doctors that would indicate they are aware of these symptoms or side effects all of us are experiencing?
