I should mention that the Botox has been VERY effective for me - it reduced the frequency of my migraines by about 75%, and the severity by about 25%. Now, I only have to use about 5 Relpax per month.
I just had my second set of injections of Botox for migraines, and experienced the mild soreness for a day afterward that I also felt the first time. However, this time, 48 hours after the shots, I developed severe pain and spasms of the muscles of my neck from the base of the skull out to the shoulder, and down my upper back, but only on the left side. Ultram and Lortab did not touch the pain. Advil 800mg helped a little, as did lying on a heating pad. My doctor prescribed Flexeril, but by the time I got it, the pain was already starting to subside. It is now 4 days after the shots and I only feel it when I turn my head a certain way.
