I'm sorry, but I only took a week off from work. Unless you have complications or high risk factors I don't see why it would be necessary to take more than 2 weeks off. Mental and physical prepardness is key.
Don't fret, but make sure you have someone with you that can help you. (ie lift you feet while helping you lean back without engaging your abs). Am now 18 days post op am doing really well. Good luck.
Yes I had muscle repair, to what extent I don't really know. I was 85% vertical when I came back to work last week and was 99% by last Friday. All I can say is that I worked out like crazy in the month + before my surgery, I did do the vitamin IV therapy the PS suggested and I do follow a modified paleo diet. I know the heat has been a beast and the humidity makes me itch. I did go online and buy more of the binders that I got from the PS; because once they are worn for a while the wrinkles just don't come out. Stay positive - it WILL get better!
I'm 5'9" and was 162 day of surgery (6/30) and am 165 now at 16 days. My size 6 is snug with the binder. Real happy so far and swelling seems to be mild so far.
