Juvederm Skin Changes

i had juvederm for nasolabial folds nov. 2008. got a fever that nite, lasted for days i felt bad. then developed general feeling of malaise, lost appetite. my face also hurt all the time and was all puffy. looked weird. after 4 mos. my skin on face started to get odd looking faint red circles and sudden melasma. i actually have visible stretch marks on cheeks where this stuff stretched my face! 2 yrs. 4 mos. later i still have a little left in my face! it has not dissovled like they said. 1 yr ago i started to develop joint pain & achiness (all over) plus constant fagigue. the inflammation has finally subsided in my face.i have been to Dr. about 10 times now - Rheumatologist next mo. Convinced product gave me autoimmune sickness. perfectly healthy before-never even got sick - i think this stuff is REALLY BAD but how can the truth ever come out against this megabillion dollar industry?

juvederm in nasofolds-bad exp!2 yrs. -ago some product still in face can see& feel.super puffy at 1st felt really bad for a long time,now have furrows or to me looks like stretch marks where product was!also caused skin inflammation of face red&brown spots which are now fading.also last 6mos. have symtoms of rhuematoid arthritis in joints-related?-seems like it to me but know i can do nothing about all this. to say this product has been a nitemare for me is an understatement!(from 1st day this stuff changed the contours of my face &made me weird!super hideous)this was done by plastic surgeon too.

i had juvederm in naslabial folds on nov. 2008. nightmare - platic surgeon did it. apparantly put too much in. Both side of face swelled way up changed my appearance -looked like crap. @ 5 mos. skin started to change on cheeks inflammation -stretch marks, red circles and brownish discolorations. @ 21 mos. it is still if my face tho down considerably. Can still feel it in my face. so gross -feels squishy. as it goes down more & more furrow on front of face apperaring where it was puffed up. never had before. i feel my face is ruined. still fighting inflammation. severe depresion & anxiety

Dear Linda, I am going on 9 mos. 1 wk. and now believe skin is going to be ok. At 5 mos. is when mine starting to really look bad - I was a mess - so scared. One month ago went to dermatologist (not one that did Juve)and she put me on Retin A. I think both from that and stuff finally leaving my face-still some there though-skin is starting to look more normal again. Spots,rings &scars not as bad.I think it will take time but will get more or less normal skin back.Take care - it will get better.

Hi Floral,i am going on 8 mos. and it has been a struggle. the dr. said i had an inflammatory skin response to it. i believe when the juv is ALL gone another mo. or so this will start to get better. i think with time most of this will go away. i am staying out of the sun & eating diet w/lots of omega 3 oils to help skin. i am going to dermatologist next wk. 7-7-09 for evaluation. send me another email & i will give an update. My skin condition seems up & down as the juve is absorbing. i have marked to the day 9 mo. Hang in there - i think the skin will renew when product is gone.
