As a patient, I have learned the hard way a very, very important lesson: absolutely, without question if you have laser resurfacing have it done under DIRECT supervision of a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist. DO NOT OPT FOR A "MED SPA" procedure. These are loosely supervised, in my experience. If you do have a complication, you want the DOCTOR, someone who is qualified to handle complications. I had the worst experience of my life at a " med spa" when I experienced complications. Had I been with a board certified plastic surgeon, my condition would have been handled much more promptly and competently. If you are considering this procedure, please consider my advice. A few extra dollars is so worht it in the long run. Trust me. I have absolutely been there and will never go to a " med spa" again.
I was not " ammunition-gathering" but simply asking about standards. There seems to be may different opinions on this and it's very confusing, to say the least.
