We had surgery the same day:) I pretty much relate to everything you have gone through since surgery. I am still swelling andhave no idea why I have just decided that is what my body has decided to do and not fight it but lord knows I want to. I also am having a hard time standinf stragiht I wish I could. I am not sure if it is my mussels or the swelling in that area that is what hurts when I try to stand up but it hurts still I can't wait until that goes away. Hope things comtinue to get better for you :)

First off Happy BIrthday and second as I read what you wrote it was like reading about myself and then looking at your pictures it was like looking at myself!! I had the gastric sleeve done last April and have lost about 100 pounds and the daly reminder of the weight stares me in the face eveyday. I am having surgery on July 23 and while I am nervous and anxious I am excited and feel guilty all at the same time. My husband has been great through all of it and very supportive but I feel horrible that I let myself get as big as I was and that I am spending the amount of money I am to make myself feel better. I hope all goes well for you :) and thank you for sharing this it puts my mind at ease reading all of the stories!

Oh Thank you, thank you, thank you for this I am having the same thing done on July 23 and was not so much worried about the surgery its self but the recovery and other than the basics there was not much on personl experiences of recovery. I have a relativly high pain tolerance as well but was still afraid of what the pain would be like after we have put our bodies though such a trauma all at one time. I am a bit concerned about not showering for so long after word I am one of those people who has to have a shower everyday, but I would rather not have any infections either. One question for you though how long wsa it before you were able to wear a regular shirt and pants? I had not thought about what to bring with me to wear until you mentioned it.
