I can really relate to how you feel - I had a bad rhinoplasty the first time around. After realizing that my results were way off (my nose was very crooked whereas before it was fine, and the bridge was still very wide - it seemed like he had only made things worse) I found another doctor who made some slight modifications to the tip but felt uncomfortable doing a complete revision, fearing it would "collapse". This was all about 15 years ago. Fast forward to last year, and I found this site and started seriously thinking about doing a revision. I dreaded going through the pain and discomfort again, but I seriously hated my nose. I had never gotten over feeling self-conscious about it. I found a really good doctor, had the procedure in December, and even though I am still quite swollen (apparently due to the fact that my nose has been operated on 3 times, and I have thick, oily skin) I can already tell my results are good, and I am feeling better about myself overall. You have only just had the surgery, but have you considered seeking out some of the really well-respected names in rhinoplasty (you may have to travel) and getting second opinions from them? I know you must dread the idea of saving up again, but for me the answer was to find someone very well-reviewed who does only rhinoplasties. I just wanted to suggest this. I'm so sorry you didn't get the results you wanted, it is so disappointing. But another doctor might be able to give you wonderful results. I worry that your current doctor will never do right by you...that's how I feel about my original doctor all those years ago. There are a lot of doctors that just aren't qualified, in my opinion. Just my 2 cents! I wish you the best no matter what you decide!

Hi hollys - I had a nose job before (looking into possibly getting a secondary one, that's why I'm here). I saw your question about making the drive home and wanted to give my 2 cents. I had a 2-hour drive home too after my surgery, and one thing the nurses missed was to make sure I could pee! They have you under the anesthesia for a long time, while at the same time giving you fluids, so sometimes your bladder can become over-full and at that point you need a catheter. I didn't know any of this, and the nurses missed it, so by the time i got home I was in agony! I had to call a friend who was a nurse, and she came over to my house and had to insert a catheter. If it hadn't been for her, I guess I would have had to go to the hospital and pay a large bill just for that. I know this is a little graphic and most likely will not happen to you, but better to know than not to know! Make sure you can pee before you get in the car!! :)
