First some background info. Im a 24 yo female, I've suffered from mild-severe acne since my teens. After years of trial and error I finally have my acne under control, and started to notice the scarring left and the uneveness of my skin tone from the acne. I started asking around to find out about treatments and dermaroller was recommended to be by the dermatologist who also recommended the product that finally got my acne under control so thought I'd give it a go. She did warn that my skin time was unlikely to improve and may in fact worsen, but I trust this dermatologist so went ahead with it. She recommended at least 3 treatments to start with 4-6 weeks apart, then if my scarring was improved I could decide how to go on from there. The procedure is a little uncomfortable, your face is numbed before hand but the sensitive parts such as over the nose do still sting. I went home looking sunburnt, this lasted about 2 days. After a week or so my skin began to feel tight and flaked in places where my scars were deepest but a good moisturiser helped this. Just as my skin began to look healthy and renewed it was time for my next treatment. afterwards is was the same as before. My 3rd treatment and last treatment was in April and the results have been great. But I know it differs for everyone. Each week I notice some improvement and was told before hand it would be 6 months or so after my treatment that I noticed the best improvements. I would definitely recommend dermaroller treatment, it isn't cheap but unfortunately these things never are and its worth it for the confidence to go out with less makeup on everyday
