Don't worry you will do it! 2lbs is a great start. I suggest a high protein low carb diet. I personally do spin 2-3x a week. You burn between 600-900 calories a class! Good luck
hey surgeryonthego!!!! so yes they make you sign a waiver saying that you will pay for any additional time. i suppose you can call the registar- but that is why they give you an "estimate" and not just a bill. but maybe the surgery will be under six hours and you will get refunded some money!!!!! my circumfrential abdominplasty was 6 hours too. i was in the hospital overnight. also i know you said you were trying to plan around things- you period will be disrupted because of the surgery... at least the last two procedures I had caused my cycles to be delayed so I really would not take that into consideration when planning a surgery. pss- i had my surgery may 3rd 2012 my fiances birthday is may 11th. we celebrated by going to a brunce springsteen concert (front row) the day before my surgery and trust me it was totally worth it!!! don't plan the surgery around everything because something will always come up. make the time for yourself- it will be the best thing you do for yourself and your hubby.
Hey starringme24......
The office will give you an estimate. They have set prices for all procedures....
Mastopexy $300
Back lift $1000
Arm lift $1000
Implants: prices vary (silicone is more expensive no matter what. saline is cheaper by about $1000) Prices for implants are usually firm no matter what because they have to purchase the implants from the manufacturer. Sometimes your surgeon can get you a deal on the implants by working with the rep. Keep in mind there are a lot of manufacturers of implants and prices vary from rep to rep.
Surgeryonthego was correct that depending on your weight is correct because if you are heavier there will be more skin to remove and it will be a longer procedure time. The same holds true for lipo, etc. The procedure costs do not vary what does vary is the operating room time. They will give you an estimated procedure time based off of the services you have. My operating room cost was $1600 because they figured my procedure would roughly be 3 hours. On the day of surgery you are told that if the time goes over you will have to pay additional money for anesthesia and the operating room. But if you are in the operating room for less then the estimated time you will be refunded the amount. The anesthesia fee for one procedure is $1000 for two or more procedures it is $1200.
The operating room went over an hour for my procedure (4 hours total) and thus I owe the hospital an additional $600.
Hope this helps a little!!! It is very confusing and a lot to take in at once I know. But I do believe it is the best price out there and I did my research!!! A great article from NY Magazine about plastic surgery clinics.....

what i found from going to various plastic surgeons is that a lift with implant is extremely controversial and that there are two sides to the argument.... a. adding volume (aka implant) when you are trying to correct the sagging is the first place is defeating the purpose. i found surgeons who did not want to give me an implant and i found surgeons who had suggested it. its personal preference. i looked at breast lifts with implants and without and decided that i wanted an implant because it gave a fuller look. i stood firm on my decision to have an implant because i knew that i would loose a lot of volume from the breast lift and did not want to sacrifice my size. Its funny i was a 38D/DD preop and now I am a 38D. So I am smaller post op even with an implant. My surgeon gave me 300 CC's and I had silicon implants. At first he was going to give me 350 cc's but when I was on the operating table he thought i would be happier with 300 cc's and I am glad he did because I can barely button blouses that I use to be able too and some dresses barely zipper over that tatas! Good luck!
