  • Posted to Removal of my Implants under a local with sedation- Spain, ES on 27 Sep 2012

Hi Reed, i'm pleased your surgery went well but sorry to hear your disappointment with the outcome. I have to say, my boobs have changed so much since the op, they went from flat to fluid filled with hard lumps which you described, to much softer and smaller so bear this in mind. Your breasts will take time to sort themselves out. Don't be too disheartened, your natural boobs look much lovlier than with the implants. I still have a little lumpiness especially in my left boob which was the harder of the 2 breasts but when I've looked on the net it seems like its a seroma or haematoma which usually go in their own time. 2 months on I'm still sleeping with a sports bra and have only been to the gym twice. Apparently cardio exercise can increase fluid collection so I've been taking it easy. Honestly, what we women put ourselves through eh! We need to be strong and love our natural beauty and accept that real beauty is not perfect and that fake beauty is, well, just fake. I have learned a tough old lesson but now I finally accept myself the way I am. I've never felt more confident. You seem like such a lovely, down to earth person and i'm sure you will recover and be stronger than ever. Take care hun x x x

Just an update to comment on my recovery and progress in the past 2 months post surgery. Well, apart from being over the moon there's nothing much else to say. Best thing I did. I look back at my implanted boobs and can't believe I did it to myself. I feel so much better now. Lying on my front is bliss :-) my partner is so happy for me, he thinks my natural boobs are so sexy and I have the feeling back which I'd lost. Life is good!!! Thanks again to all your support ladies and for those who are considering it, Go For It x x x

I just wanted to say that if you feel that you are going by your boyfriend's knowlege of breasts then you'd be making a mistake. Your surgeon was so insensitive in telling you that you were deformed. There are risks with all surgery including dowsizing your implants. What happens if you still aren't satisfied? I'm not judging you as I think you're very courageous to change your mind and to have ever put your experience into the public domain, however, the fact that you've not felt happy either being natural or with implants suggests that you're body and self-esteem issues are unlikely to change until you work on those first. No matter how much you change your looks, no greater feeling of acceptance comes from yourself and not from others. I used to feel the same when someone else pointed out my flaws but now I think I've matured with my experience and have learned to accept myself, cellulite, wobbly bits, small boobs and the rest. I couldn't give a damn what people think, I have much more to me than what I look like. Our body is a gift and we should respect it. By all means do what YOU feel is right and look how great all us ladies on here look :-) I'm proud of myself and all the girls who have been brave enough to explant and share their stories. Good luck honey x

Hello Reed69, how are you? Thank you for your comments. I think I was that excited when I posted the other day that I never noticed all the awful spelling mistakes (cringe)! ;-) Well i'm pleased that i've given you some more motivation to get rid, I have to say with all honesty that i'm so happy with my smaller boobs than I ever was with my implants. I had most of the same anxieties as most of the ladies who've posted on here, especially how the end result would be but now a week has gone by, you wouldn't even know i'd had them in in the first place!! I had mine over the muscle and my capsules were left in. My surgeon said that they would fill up with a little fluid and give me a bit more boob! I didn't feel at all nervous prior to my surgery until I got on the bed but it was fine once the anaesthetic was injected, I hadly felt a thing there. It was when he put his fingers inside to resease the implant from the capsule that it was all a bit squelchy and got a little painful but it was bearable as it only lasted literally about 10 seconds max. It felt like pulling a sticky dressing off that's been on for a while but a bit more painful. I'd rather tell you how it felt than play it down, i'd go through it again so it can't have been that bad, for me anyway. Honestly you'll be fine. I'm sure that if you feel pain your surgeon will stop and take a break but they'll be out before you know it. I had my nipples pierced a few years ago and that was 1000 times more painful!! Don't let anyone try and change your mind, go with what's inside your heart. I feel on top of the world both physically and emotionally. Go for it and let us know how it goes. Good luck hun xx
