    Hi Crisc23 I also had a hysterctomy in 2000 and yes it was very painful but I had mine on june 28, 2012 and I can't believe I have not had any pain uncomfortable but no real pain soreness yes but pain no and I got my other tube out today and I feel great so I think you will be fine I thoutht the same thing and had the same worries you will be fine I;m 50 and have lost 115 pounds so I had eleven and half pounds removed what a difference even though I'm really swollen what a big difference of fat and skin being gone I have lost thirteen pounds since my tt..

    Yes I have problems with stool softeners anyway so I don't think I will take them unless I need them. I'm also going to buy or rent the leg compressions did anyone use those at home or just wore the surgical hose?

    Ok Monday down I work Tuesday and Wednesday then headed to Tampa after work on Wednesday. Did any of you ladies eat light or heavy the night before your surgery?
    My surgery is scheduled for Thursday June 28, 2012 at 10am.

    Thanks I love this site it has really been a big help for me. Because I will be staying with my daughter in Tampa Fl that is also where Im having my surgery. I will be staying she has my first grandbaby and he is six months old and I think the hardest thing is I will not be able to hold him because he is a mover he is never still. Goodluck to every one on there tt hope u heal fast.

    Hi I'm the same way my tt is thursday June 28, 2012. Also out patient but my daughter is a nurse practioner an her husband is a icu rn I will be staying with them having it done in Tampa fl.
