I didn't really have a say in where the incisions were placed. They try to make it the least noticable from both sides. All stitches were the disolvable kind, so not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Hello my Revision Buddy.
I will tell you that I really didn't get a good look at my revision until about 3 weeks out. By then most of the swelling had gone down. Now that I am at 7 weeks post-revision, I'm much happier about my results. Of course I would always want better, but I think any improvement is good. I'm not as tiny as I would like to be (who is?), but at least the extra skin is gone and I feel more physically comfortable, which is a huge deal for me.
If you are wanting my honest opinion as someone who has been there, I would say give it time. You had a lot of work done with your revision, so you are going to be swollen. Big time. Wait until 6-7 weeks to really form your opinion of your results. I can see a big improvement, but you do appear to still be swollen. The body appears different when it's swollen versus still pudgy.
Hang in there. I think you'll be happy in the end. Hugs!
The changing color of the drain fluid is normal. As for the clotted bloody stuff, this is also normal. You just need to make sure you are "milking" your drains several times a day. You don't want them to get clogged up. Glad you are doing better. Sorry your daughter has a fever.
Look how tiny you are!?!? And if that is swollen, just think of how much smaller you will get when it goes down. Glad you made it through ok. Happy Healing!
