Hi I had my BR on May 29 and I did have drains in, but I am draining on both breasts but both sides my incisions have opened. My PS has me on antibotics and I was there today and he did a debridement and cleaned it up, he tells me that it will take several weeks to heal, sometimes this happens he also has me on Vitamin C and Zinc. So yes drainage for me is the new norm. :(

Hi,
I had my BR on 5/29/12 and I have incision openings on both breasts from the nipple down to bottom. I have been on antibotics (Cipro) and Silvadine creme for 1 week. I went today and my PS said that it will heal but it will be several weeks yet. I have been wearing dressings since my surgery, and it leaks every day, but my PS has a good handle on things. It's frustrating I know.
