hello!
I was able to drive on the 5th day but it was really a challenge! I also returned to work on the 5th day and ened up leaving early.
I was given darvocet (sp?) for the pain and it did nothing for me. I wound up taking Tylenol PMs for 4 days - like, 5 at a time. Once I got to the 10 day mark post-surgery I was painfree, all at once. Now at 3 1/2 months, I can sleep on my stomach, wear any bra I want, etc and it's like the surgery never happened.
My scarring has been minimal, largely in part to the skill of my surgeon.
If I had to do it all again, I would've taken a full week off of work. Going back on day 5 was very tiring for me. You're younger (and I assume perkier!) so you may bounce back faster than 10 days.
Best of luck!
