Wow! Seems clear to me that this is a dangerous product. Orange peel skin is actually a pretty common bad outcome. In my experience very many dermatologist are cautious about using retinol other than briefly for the purpose of exfoliation for preparation for a peel. This is for the reason of so many bad outcomes.

I've had the same experience and am juat starting to get consults about what can be done without causing further damage. Since you are quite young I would guess you will likely eventually heal. You probably know to use very very mild products for sensitive skin, and nothing that causes redness--an inflamatory response. Best of luck to you.

--would highly recommend using caution, and using a low consentration, and not using it daily or at all if you spend alot of time in the sun. This is a very very powerful product with unpredictable results, which can include severe skin damage--read the postings on this site and others related to retinol, or Retin A.

Yes--orange peel, shiney, thin and wheathered skin. This was a reaction that occurred over a three month period of my skin burning on and off (after 3 yrs of nearly daily use) The buning stopped after this time but my skin now looks like it has aged by 15 to 20 years--devestating. I also now have rosecea so my skin is easily inflamed. When I use a good dose of Advil it helps the bumpiness smooth considerably, but the lines and wheathering remain. Good products for senistive skin I found on the web: Rosa Skin. I am in the process of getting consultations. I plan to proceed with great caution and will first test out any treatment on a small area. Good luck to you--I know how very difficult this journey is.
