I don't know anything about the difference between over vs. under muscle. I would think that over the muscle would be easier to remove since you don't have to dig around under the muscle to release it from the pocket. Plus when they're under the muscle, that means that the muscle has been cut and that it won't ever reattach to the chest wall again. I don't think over vs under makes a huge difference though.. I think the state of your capsules makes the biggest difference as far as how simple or complicated your surgery will be. Since my capsules were still soft, we left them in there and haven't had any problems with them. We're 4 months out now and everything is looking good! If you have soft capsules i would definitely recommend leaving them in.

Yeah, I remember Griffin was not too interested in the aesthetic result, he was just like, if you want them out, I can do that for you, but I can't make any promises that it will look good. Davis was much more confident that he could do a good job and that I'd look great afterwards. Davis also said we could do either local or general anesthesia, while Griffin said we should just do local. But then since we ended up having to remove a tumor too, Davis recommended the general anesthesia in the end, which was the right thing to do since it ended up takign longer, like 1 1/2 hours. Mine were under the muscle. Good luck! Looking forward to your updates!

Hi Kristen! Dr. Griffin did suggest that i go smaller, but when i told him that was not an option for me, then he went with what i wanted, but he did say that i would probably end up with looser skin than I would like. We have very similar stats, I was a small B, 390cc took me to a D, and now I'm back to a small B. If I were you I would definitely go have a consultation with Dr. Stephen Davis. He didn't pressure me to replace the implants at all and he did a fantastic job with the removal. He's done a lot of removals and he knows what he's doing in that department, which is why I think he doesn't try to convince people to go smaller, because he knows he can do a good job with the removal. Good luck! Let me know if you have more questions!

You look fantastic!! Almost just like me, except for I think you've got a little more natural tissue than I do. I finally figured out that I'm a 36A, I was so resistant to that 36 before because I saw that as "fat," but I wear the 36 because my breasts are set wider apart so the cups need to be wider apart, it's not that I've gained any weight. Anyway, congrats! Sending you good healing thoughts :-)
