Do you mean like when can you shower or go to the rest room and just walk around and stuff without help? I would say after a few days I was able to get out of bed And walk to the restroom and stuff without help. But you need to take your pain pills as directed or else if you let them wear off and then try to move its that much harder. I also wouldn't be taking any showers while there is no one in the house for at least the first week. You will have drains (and possibly a pain pump if your doctor uses ten) in your incision and a lot of stuff that makes it a lot easier to slip and fall so if no one is home you don't want to be helpless. When you get your drain out, it's a lot easier to get around. I got mine out after a week.

I am so happy I did this! If you have the opportunity take it! My mom and sister were here for the first 2 1/2 weeks, and after that I was on my own. The doctor was still giving me then old "not allowed to lift anything" bit but my life had to go on. I do not recommend lifting a lot like I had to. Walking around and evening picking up a little bit was ok but lifting up my youngest to go up the stairs and stuff was really hard and painful. So I just limited myself to only picking her up to get her in and out of the crib. I didn't give the girls baths or lug the vacuum around, it was just too hard. My hubby too over those jobs for awhile. Even now, I'm almost 2 months out and there are some days where lifting just hurts a lot still, but it's getting better. The good days out weigh the bad for sure at this point. It's holding or pulling on a heavy object (or person) for a long period of time is what will make you tired. And at least my youngest is walking now so that really helps a lot. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks so much! I it's so hard to say what my bra size was before, I was anywhere from a b cup to a small c cup. I tOld the doctor I was just sick of having no cleavage and my fullness being gone after breast feeding.

I didnt go to the bathroom for 10 days after surgery! I took 2 stool softeners twice a day, every day. I finally got the urge to go right in the middle of target. I guess the walking around helped me, I guess it woke things up in the belly.

Thank you! No, not any special creams but I do massage it everyday for a couple of minutes. My doctor said that he does like maderma but it's the actual act of massage the scar to break down the tissue. Even in the shower I take dial soap and lather up and massage it really good. It seems to have kept the scar really soft. I usually scar pretty bad but this one is turning out pretty decent. And it doesn't hurt that my doctor is so great. My scars under my breast are almost invisible!
