Yah I've seen pain specialist and this was the last resort before another surgery.. My pcp is trying to get me into a well known pain clinic so keeping my fingers crossed!! Thank u for the advise:) U all r wonderful!
Glad u do not have a muppet face anymore:-/ no it has not helped so far.. But I have to stay positive but thank u all for the support I feel like I'm not alone in this now:)
I just received Botox for trigeminal and occipital neuralgia.. I am only 29 it was not for cosmetic reason but for medical reasons to decrease the severe pain I had.. It is frustrating cause 9 days after my injection my left side of my mouth and just below my cheek bone is droopy and yes, I notice it more than others and it is very discouraging when u r told this will work and not explained the side effects.. I was told by the dr it will take months to come back and these blogs have been helpful cause I was super down on myself.. I have had this pain for 9 yrs now.. I have had trigeminal decompression surgery and that was useless.. So Botox was last resort till I get the nerves severed hopefully these will work..
