Oh and I have no interest in a "touch up". There was too much down time the first go round.Still think Dr. Blinski is a good doctor but am wondering if I would have been better off going up to see Dr. Katz in NYC like FL Gal since he was one of the pioneers of the procedure. Second guessing at this point is useless. Bottom line - some people respond better than others. While this did not work for me, I wish everyone good luck and good results if they go forward with the procedure.
NOT worth it. Made no difference. In fact may now be worse. Save your money and time - use it for some other procedure (fractional laser, CO2, fillers etc). It's back to long skirts and pants and hose. Oh well.
Your posts and my posts seem eerily similar in terms of results and reaching some kind of acceptance. My doctor told me that 6 months is the true measure of how well the procedure worked. He also told me that any tingling or numbness is actually a good sign as it means that your body is still in repair and healing mode. Can't talk to the bruising or discoloration - have no idea. If you haven't already done so, you might want to add a heavy duty bromelain tablet to your daily vitamin supplements - bromelain helps with bruising - check with your doctor about it.
I did the series of 5 massages about 2 weeks after the work was initially performed. I have subsequently opted to do a second round series with radio frequency thrown in for good measure. I realized after my session today that if I see results I have no way to attribute the outcome...is it the cellulaze results kicking in as they should...or is it the aggressive after -cellulaze regime I've taken on - workouts and massages/radio frequency combo. That said, I feel somewhat down - the masseuse took pics and my legs show very little improvement. I've had a stoic attitude all along but the pics...well let's just say it was a harsh reality check.
Here's the thing. We opted for a procedure that on paper sounds like the holy grail of cellulite.
As I read some of the posts I see that for the most part - even with the clinical studies - we're filling the role of guinea pigs. The doctors who bought the machine have to practice on someone to get skilled. 2012 is the year of the practice client. The doctors are gaining experience - learning how aggressive they can or can't be and learning what kind of a patient will actually see the best results. Next year they'll be better at screening patients and will get better results for patients. Of course that means nothing to we the pioneers who invested the time and money this year. A retouch is something that I don't want to think about at this point - there was a lot of downtime associated with the first procedure. Mind you I was one of the lucky ones - no bruising, no leaking, no pain - but that whole compression garment with pads was not a fun time.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you see positive improvement before that 8 month mark occurs!
