My drains were on the side too, I think it was more comfortable. I went to the beach a few weeks aer surgery and just stood knee deep in the water when I got too hot, and I took it easy and just walked back and forth and then went back to hiding under the umbrella :)

Oh phew! Just a stitch eh? It's pretty amazing what your body does huh? I'm telling you I had a similar horrible looking patch on my incision and 2 weeks later you can't even see where it was! crazy! Glad it's not an infection! :)

Does it hurt? It does look like something's going on there, I had a spot that opened up on my incision and really freaked me out. it turned out to just be the way I was healing. You wouldn't expect this after five weeks though so I think you must have some sort of problem, but don't worry! Its amazing what a couple days will do once you figure out a treatment with a doc. I was so worried my scar would look thick and awful, but it doesn't. Your doing the right thing and doing everything they tell you until you can see someone! keep us posted! Good luck

I say wear that bikini! You look good, be proud! Bikini material is all in your head. If I look like you at 51 I will be extremely happy!!! Lookin good lady
