Do not forget, the people who post these horror stories on the internet are having the worst problems, other people probably cba because they don't have as strong feelings about it. The only thing you can't take is large quantities of alcohol (so no more than the daily recommended amount) and vitamin a tablets or tablets containing large amounts of vitamin a. So I take three fish oils a day, a vitamin c tablet, a multivitamin tablet that doesn't contain vitamin a (it also contains calcium), a biotin tablet (this is good for skin and hair health, apparently Accutane uses this up and that is why their hair MIGHT fall out) and a vitamin d tablet (good for skin and health). Yes I take a lot, haha I can taken them all at once, but I just hope this shows that you can take things to prevent side effects.
Hi, I've been on Accutane for the past 6 days, and my first week today haha. My skin has been quite strange before the treatment, I think it's due to hormones; one day it'll flare up with huge, deep, under the skin spots all over my face, then over a week it will completely clear up with only the scars remaining, then I will have about three or four days of clear skin, next I have two weeks of not-so-deep spots that are mostly whiteheads or soon to be white heads, then the skin clears and we're back to square one. My skin is generally oily. The reason I'm telling you this is because my acne is constantly changing I don't know when the initial flare up is, I'm also on 40mg, and I'd just like to know how long it lasts and how far into the treatment it starts - I have prom soon, and naturally I'd like to be remembered with clear skin.
