One of the reason that you get dizzy in the first place is because the tension caused by the shots sits exactly where your first cervical vertebrae is, the atlas. And it can cause it to be moved...which affects your balance!! So, I have been having my chiropractor adjust my atlas whenever it gets forced out from the tension, and I chew GingerTrips, which are as strong as Bonine for air/seasickness!! You could also take Bonine for the dizziness, and get yourself a pair of seabands...the acupressure bands for seasickness!
Good luck!
I hate to tell you, but my squeeze is still here more than a month later. I just want it to stop. But I have a trick for you that should help. My chiropractor learned that just looking at a computer triggers some of the "squeeze" and you can alleviate it by taking your thumbs and holding them pointing up and putting them inside your teeth, about at the second molars on either side and while gently pushing up, pull out against your teeth for about the count of 20. This will "adjust" your hard palette, and your eyes, which get overexcited looking at the screen. It will cause the built up tension that goes up through your forehead, over the top of your head and down your neck, to dissipate somewhat.
I hope this helps!! I am still counting down the days till this stuff wears off! Never again!!!
It is a dirty little secret that cortisone shots can induce atrophy in the area it is injected. Those holes in your face could be the result of the shots of cortisone, on top of the malfunctioning of the machine! It will still require the punch out or fat grafting. Cortisone is way overused and not so good for you. Just sayin. But thanks for letting us know, I was researching having Ultherapy done, so am glad to know of the potential side effects.
I don't know if you saw my post from earlier, but I had terrible migraines and had prolotherapy shots to the base of my skull and my neck. These are permanent healing shots that contain simple dextrose, no poison, and actually heal the ligaments that aren't holding your head up properly. It takes about 4 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart for it to permanently heal. But it will cure your migraines! It was a miracle for me.
Prolotherapy is also good for any other parts of your body that are unstable because of loose ligaments. Hips, knees, ankles, even thumbs. I am hypermobile, and it can contribute to fibromyalgia, which in turn can be cured by prolotherapy. Check out getprolo online and find a doc near you.
Best of luck to you.
Oh, and it has been 21 days since I had the botox, and I still have a headache and neckache from it, but absolutely no reduction of my wrinkles!!! How's that for a kick in the teeth!?
I have had mine done in Ohio and PA. I know there are docs in NY, there is a website that lists prolo docs that you can make appts. with. getprolo I suggest getting the shots across the back of your skull first, because that may be all it takes to get rid of your headaches. Go to neck shots if necessary.
Also, yes, yes, yes to massage. I used both traditional and craniosacral therapy. You can also find a craniosacral therapist online at Upledger. My CST saved my sanity many times!!! Good luck!!
