Hi suscan! I took my 1st eyelash extensions off my self with remover from the drug store and baby oil. What a disaster--large bald spots. As soon as I had enough 'nubbs' I did the extensions again but needed weekly touch-ups. I go to a spa once a month for microdermabrasion and that's where I heard about Latisse coming available. I went back to the spa on Feb. 10, 2009 had my extensions professionaly removed (only lost 1 lash) and started on Latisse that day. Three weeks later at my next micro my girl noticed definite new growth. It was reccommended to me by the doctor at the spa to have the extensions taken off prior to starting Latisse.
I've had fantastic results with Latisse, Lumigan, and I will next try Careprost; they all seem to be the same but Careprost is eve cheaper than Lumigan. Good Luck
Fialover, Since my eyes water a lot at night I have been using Latisse/Lumigen in the morning right after washing my face. I brush teeth and make my bed while letting the liquid soak in. Then I apply lotions, make-up and mascara as usual and I've had excellent results but be sure to use a fine liner brush instead of the brushes supplied with Latisse. Good Luck
Stella, I'm hoping by now you have stuck with Latisse and love it as I do. I too lost many lashes the 1st 2 weeks of use and I really couldn't spare any! But I've stayed with the program and have had fantastic results. I've actually had to pull two lashes that were too long and grew down and refused to curl. My new lashes curl easily with just using mascara. To avoid waste I use a fine eyeliner brush to apply the product. Also, I've ordered the Lumigan from India to save even more money on these great lashes. I'm 63 and now have the best eyelashes of my life! My co-workers have ordered together so to split the shipping cost from India.
If you're really happy now and want info on how to order Lumigan check out the postings from rosieposie on this site. Good luck
I'm 63 and have had fantastic results! After 9 weeks on Latisse my co-workers thought I'd gotten eyelash extenstions again. I just received Lumigan from {edit} and will start that when Latisse is gone. I too lost lashes the first 2 weeks of use. Now it's hard to pull one out! I've really had to do this with a few that were very long and curled straight up or straight down.

I did lash extensions for 3 months. They looked good for maybe a week then I needed a touch-up. Very expensive and I had to watch the way I slept so to keep them nice. My own lashes were a mess when I had extensions removed--several bald spots. That's when I started Latisse. Been using it for almost 4 months. My co-workers thought I got extentions again but they are all my own. I love it!
