Hi flashgirl and all the others who responded to my question about loss of sensation. Sorry for the very delayed response. :) Your comments have given me some hope! I don't want to get my hopes up too much though, I really think I need to expect that any normal feeling has been lost forever. My appointment for my first consultation is next week so I'm pretty excited to hear what he has to say, and I'm also very excited at the idea of getting my small boobs back again! haha How are you feeling at the moment, are you feeling back to normal yet?
Hi flashgirl,
It’s so great to read all of these comments. I’ve often wondered what the satisfaction rates are for women who receive implants. I'm going to see a surgeon at the end of the month to talk about getting my implants removed. Like yourself & many of the other girls who have commented, I've never been comfortable with my implants and even though I’m not completely unhappy with the way they look, they just don't feel good and I feel unnatural.
When I got mine done I was trying to recapture pre-children days and every surgeon I went to see pushed me to go bigger. In the end even though I stuck to my guns and went smaller than they suggested, I still ended up too big.
The biggest regret for me though was the loss of sensation. Not complete loss but certainly numbness underneath the breast and over sensitivity in the nipples. I assume that this is permanent and can’t be fixed? How is your sensation post op?
btw your photo’s look amazing. It’s really inspiring me & giving me the confidence that I’m making the right decision. :)
