I had a full tummy tuck and muscle repair done in march of last year. I was nursing my 11 month old at the time. I had the surgery and when I got home I pumped and dumped. Was I sore yes but it is not a pain you can't handle. I took my pain meds and muscle relaxers for 3 days and was done. I waited 24 hours after that and nursed my daughter just fine. Just pump when you can after the surgery. Make sure you have some pillows to prop up on when your pumping I found it easier to sit in a comfy rocking chair. When you start to nurse again make sure you are comfortable and the baby is positioned away from your drains and incision. Hope this helps you some. I know I was so scared when I nursed her for the first time but it turned out to be fine.
